Your habits stay yours.
Last updated: May 9, 2026. We try to keep this readable. If anything is unclear, email us at systivia@gmail.com.
The short version
We collect the minimum we need to run the app. We don’t sell your data, we don’t broker it, we don’t rent it, and we don’t use it to train anyone else’s models. Your habit data lives on infrastructure we own. You can delete your account and your data at any time.
What we collect
- Account data. Your Display name, username and password (hashed) you use to sign in. Optionally an email address for account security.
- Habit data. The habits you create, the identities you pick, when you completed (or skipped) each occurrence, your reminder preferences, and the content of any notes you write.
- Device + technical data. Crash reports, app version, OS version, device class. We do not collect your contacts, photos, location, or advertising identifiers.
- Email signups. If you join the newsletter or request the identity worksheet, we keep your email and the source you signed up from until you ask us to remove it.
What we don't collect
No third-party advertising IDs, no location tracking, no contact-list scraping, no microphone or camera access, no behavior beyond the app itself. We also don’t embed third-party trackers in transactional email.
What we use it for
- To run the app: sync your habits, deliver reminders, store praisals.
- To improve the app: anonymized aggregate metrics on what works (e.g. how often people complete habits per identity). This never leaves our servers in a form tied to you.
- To talk to you: send you the worksheet you requested, and (if you opt in) product-update emails. You can unsubscribe with a one-tap link in any email.
Who we share with
We share the minimum required with the small set of vendors that operate the app on our behalf, each under a written data-processing agreement: our hosting provider (DigitalOcean), our database (Postgres on the same droplet), our media storage (UploadThing), our analytics platform (PostHog — configured to anonymize IPs and respect Do Not Track), and our transactional email vendor (Resend).
We do not share with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone whose business model depends on resale of personal data.
Where it's stored
Data lives on servers we run, currently in the Singapore. We use TLS for data in transit and disk encryption for data at rest.
How long we keep it
Habit data is kept for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, we wipe your habits, identities, completions, and praisals from the live database immediately. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe; we then remove the address from active lists within 7 days.
Your rights
You can: request a copy of your data, correct anything that’s wrong, delete your account, or ask us to stop processing your data for any specific purpose. Email systivia@gmail.com and we’ll respond within 14 days.
If you’re in the EEA, UK, or California, applicable laws (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA) give you the same rights, plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We won’t take it personally.
Children
Systivia isn’t directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we’ll update the “last updated” date at the top, and notify active users by email or in-app notice before the change takes effect.
